Why have a separate project management system in addition to all other systems in my organisation?
Processes of a project-like nature are usually dealt with separately because of their varying properties. Often, in preparing for such projects, varying combinations of software are selected for use. This leads to differences in the ways the organisation is supplied with information about it's projects. How easily can MainTasc® be integrated into my existing organisation?
MainTasc® comes with basic screen forms for data entry, and numerous predefined reports, which relate to each other in a clear way. Uniform screen layouts familiarize the user quickly with the program. A filter generator and a report generator allow for the creation of numerous different custom views and cross-sections of the data that is stored in the system.
MainTasc® offers you three different breakdown structures:
• Organisational breakdown, reflecting the organisation behind your project;
• Resource breakdown, in which structuraldata on people, equipment and materials canbe stored;
• Cost breakdown, allowing for flexible administration of costs.
In addition to the breakdown structures, user-definable code tables allow for storage of additional validated data, and support the filtering of information from MainTasc®.
Will MainTasc® fit into the infrastructure of my organisation?
MainTasc® has been designed specifically to function in a networked computer environment, allowing multi-user access to your projects. MainTasc® has it's own flexible security management, enabling you to restrict information access to authorized persons.
How can I be sure that the information in MainTasc® is correct and that I can start my project on schedule?
MainTasc® offers electronic control of the physical routing of documents among all parties involved. Authorized employees can enter any comments directly into the system.For projects with a long lead time, it is possible to track the preparations step by step on the basis of a number of checkpoints. In combination with a pre-established prognosis, graphical representations of the project status can be produced. Maintasc® also allows you to freeze the scope (multiple times), so you can compare a frozen scope at a later stage with the new actual scope.
Is MainTasc® suited to the market my company operates in?
As long as maintenance is the main objective of your project, MainTasc® can be employed profitably. Depending on the nature of your business, certain functions of MainTasc® can be switched on or off. The MainTasc® terminology is highly adaptable, and all screen and report layouts are multi-lingual. MainTasc® supports Dutch, German and English.
